松本市にある”開智学校”を見に行った。明治時代に建てられた国宝級の洋風建築物！

今回は新幹線で・・・。

今回、松本にいった。車のあるときは車で行きますが、今回は電車で・・・。ただ、昔行った電車での生き方とは違って　今回は”新幹線”です。すごく、早いです。大阪駅から在来線で　松本とかに行くと多分、5時間ぐらいはかかるとは思うが、今回は名古屋まで新幹線で1時間　そっから在来線で松本まで2時間ぐらい、計3時間ぐらいで着いた。交通費は片道10000円ぐらいかな～　でも、新幹線は早い。でも、この長野って今や　東京のほうからのほうが　早いんじゃないかな～って　もともと早いか？しかし、上越新幹線とかあって　東京からだと　かなり早いような気がする。

それで松本の重要文化財めぐり、まずは国宝”旧開智学校”ですが、1961年、明治時代の擬洋風学校建築としては初めて重要文化財の指定を受けた建物である。また、この開智学校は、藩校崇教館から明治維新による松本藩学、廃藩置県による筑摩県学と続いてきた県下第一の小学校で、学制による第二大学区筑摩県管下第一中学区の第一番小学開智学校として1873年に創立された。筑摩県権令・永山盛輝の主導で建設されたもので　工事費は約11,000円かかり、その7割を松本町全住民の寄付により調達した。面白いのは、地元出身で大工棟梁の立石清重が設計施工を担当した擬洋風建築で、事前にこの棟梁が東京にいって　有名な建造物を視察、そして作ったということだ。この棟梁が偉いね。

この”開智学校”は、松本城の近くにあって、結構古い建造物がこの松本にもたくさんあって・・・。松本市は長野県でも長野市と並んで結構、大きな都市で　だけど、自然あふれる街で車で　ちょっといくと”アルプス”、日本の中央アルプスなのかな～、木曽とかが有名なので　とりあえずは”アルプス”で　すごい山の中になる。その自然のなかで　いろんなお店やペンションとかがあって　なかなか楽しいというか　遊べそうというか、川も結構綺麗で　でも、海はないけど・・・。とりあえず、松本駅があって松本城があって”開智学校”があるって感じですが。

なんだか中華風っぽいですが・・・。

見た感じは、広い敷地に白い建物って感じで、”開智学校”って書いてある文字が　古いというかなんとなく中華風って感じがするが、気のせいか。でも、やたら龍の装飾でやっぱ中華風か？中に入ると　やっぱ、学校かっていう感じの教室があったり、資料室があったりと、でもいろんな装飾品が豪華？近代建築って感じの電灯や階段の柱の装飾やと学校にしては豪華です。ステンドグラスまであります。廊下とかは当時のものなんでしょうけど　壁面とかは綺麗にされてます。やっぱ、学校ですから、教室でしょ。どこの古い建造物の学校というところに行くと　かならず同じような教室がある。1段高い所に教壇があって　その後ろに黒板、そして、机といすが並んでる。記憶では、一つの机に2つの椅子って感じで　線を引いて横の子と自分の領地を分けてた感があるが、この学校は机は木製の古い机ですが、2つに分かれてました。しかし、考えてみると超豪華な学校です。

So, Matsumoto’s important cultural property tour, first of all, the national treasure “Former Kaichi School”, which was designated as an important cultural property in 1961 for the first time as a pseudo-Western style school building in the Meiji era. In addition, this Kaichi school is the first elementary school in the prefecture, which has continued from the clan school Sukyokan to the Matsumoto clan studies by the Meiji Restoration, and Chikuma prefectural studies after the abolition of feudal domains and prefectures. It was founded in 1873 as the first elementary school, Kaichi School. It was built under the leadership of Moriteru Nagayama, the governor of Chikuma Prefecture, and the construction cost was about 11,000 yen, 70% of which was procured by donations from all the residents of Matsumoto Town. What is interesting is that Kiyoshige Tateishi, a local master carpenter, was in charge of the design and construction of the quasi-Western-style building. This ridge is great.

Kaichi school

This “Kaichi School” is located near Matsumoto Castle, and there are many old buildings in Matsumoto. Matsumoto is a fairly large city in Nagano Prefecture, on par with Nagano, but if you drive a short distance in a city full of nature, you can reach the Alps. You will be in a big mountain. At first glance, it feels like a white building on a large site, and the letters that say “Kaichi School” are old-fashioned or somewhat Chinese, but is it just my imagination? But is it still Chinese style with dragon decorations? When I went inside, he said that there was a classroom that felt like a school, and that there was a reference room. It’s gorgeous for a school, with lights that look like modern architecture and decorations on the pillars of the stairs. There is even stained glass. The corridors are probably from those days, but the walls have been cleaned up. After all, it’s a school, so it’s a classroom. Wherever you go to a school in an old building, he always has a similar classroom. There is a podium on a higher level and he has a blackboard behind it and a table and chairs. In my memory, I feel like I had two chairs on one desk and drew a line to separate my territory from the child next to me, but at this school the desks are old wooden desks, but they were divided into two.
