信州大学の”繊維学部”の建物を見に行った。さすがの国立です、建物がすごくいい。

上田市にある信州大学繊維学部

信州大学といえば、長野県松本市にあるとは思いますが、なぜか”繊維学部”は上田市にある。その建物も近代建築で重要文化財に指定されてるっていうので　見に行った。信州の繊維学部といえば、やっぱ”かいこ”です。養蚕です。かいこからとれるシルクが一時期　この日本の産業のかなで栄えてた時代があって、ちょっと歴史的にいつの時代になるのかはわかりませんが、”野麦峠”の時代の話だと思いますが。今の中国のような時代、安い賃金で働かされて　裕福なものだけがとてつもなくいい生活ができる時代、今考えるとひどい話ですが、これも基本的人権の尊重とか、平等というモラルというものが人間の中で　進化していって　この短期間で人間の精神部分が非常に進化して　やっとこれからって感じですが、今でも世界的には、進まない国もたくさんあるとは思いますが、”かいこ”っていうとそんな時代の事を考えてしまう。

養蚕で有名な土地

その”かいこ”の種の研究をこの信州大学でされていて　やっぱ、地元なんでその研究や歴史を残しているんでしょう。最近はやっぱ化学繊維が進化してきて　”かいこ”とかいうと　いわゆるアナログ的なイメージがあって　まゆから糸ををとって　それを何本かまいて糸を作って　その糸で布帛を作って　型を取って縫製して服を作って　市場に出して　人がそれを買って身につける・・・。すごい行程ですが、でも、また別分野で研究開発されて　服飾以外の使われ方もたくさんあると思いますが、釣り糸の”PEライン”なんかは、昔からのナイロンとかフロロとかよりも強度が高く　細いとか”よれにくい”とかで見直されてますから、PEは絹かどうか走りませんが、繊維なので、シルクで作るとかするとすごいとは思いますが、そんな感じで　コンピュータの”0、1”のように　最先端はなぜか単純だったりするので　”かいこ”の糸から作るものも　なにか見直されて大変なものになるかも知れませんので・・・。

この”上田市”ってところも結構　市街地で、松本から1時間ぐらいだったと思いますが、北アルプスの反対側の山を抜けて　すぐでしたが、結構道も整備されてて　行き来しやすい場所で・・・。松本にも信州大学はあるし、松本が拠点ですか？それとこの上田市に繊維学部の校舎がある。市街地の丘の上にあるって感じで　校門の警備の方に見学の旨をいうと　すぐにOKで駐車場に車を止めさせてくれました。やさしい！　さすがに国立です。私学とかだと結構、関係者以外はだめって所が多いですから、そんで構内を見学です。写真も自由に取れます。天気もよくってスカッとしてます。大学っていつも思いますが、敷地が広く自然の中にあるって感じです。とりあえず、森の中にあるってイメージですが。市街地にある学校は少し違いますが、結構郊外にある古い大学って　敷地面積が非常に大きく、森の中にある？公園？　そんな感じが非常に多い。学生の学習環境にやっぱ自然は必要なんでしょうか？このキャンパスイメージ。これからの時代　タワービルの中にあってもよさそうですが、でも　以外にも大学っていい立地条件にあって　地震とか雨で大きな災害にあったとか　あまりききませんので　やっぱそこは非常に思慮されてるんでしょうか？この信州大学繊維学部もいい立地の中にあります。

It’s an amazing process, but I think there are many other uses for research and development in other fields other than clothing. It’s being re-examined for being thin and “hard to twist”, so I don’t know if PE is made of silk or not, but since it’s a fiber, I think it would be amazing if it was made from silk. In the same way, the cutting edge is somehow simple, so things made from “kaiko” thread may be reconsidered and become a big deal…

You can also take photos freely. The weather is nice and I feel refreshed. I always think of a university, but it feels like the grounds are wide and surrounded by nature.
