本当　でっかい敷地の”北海道大学”です。さすが国立大学です、敷地全体がでっかい公園みたい。

北海道大学の敷地がでかい。

北海道、札幌に行った際に”北海道大学”に行ってみた。なんしか　昔の近代建築だらけで　結構被写体としていい建物ばかりです。。しかも、敷地が広い。中に入っても車でないと全般　回れないほどの　そりゃもうでかい敷地です。基本的に大学の敷地ってどこでも広いのは当然なんですけど　一番敷地がでかいのでは？そんな感じです。まるで、森の中に学校があるって感じです。カナダに行った人に聞くと　カナダの講演も広大で　公園の中に滝があるぐらいですからって聞いたことがあるが　そんなにはひろくないですが・・・。でも広いね。

とりあえず、敷地が。

しかも、北海道ですから　こんな感じではあるんでしょうが、札幌駅の近くって感じです。札幌の街って小さいのか広いのか？でも少し行くと結構田舎の風景ですから　そんなに広いわけでもないでしょうが、その分　これだけの敷地ですから　比較的大きく見えるのかもわかりませんが、どうでしょう。

クラーク博士は有名です。

北海道大学は、クラーク先生で有名で　もともと札幌農学校っていうぐらいだから　農業を考える大学で誕生して　いまや、総合大学で　全部の学部がある　マンモス国立大学でる。国立だかた　それなりに難しいんでしょうが、しかし、冬になると当然雪だらけでしょうからちょっとすごしにくいから　いやか～、個人の見解ですけど。それとクラーク博士はキリシタンで　それもプロテスタント、その影響もこの大学にはいまだにあるそうです。”少年よ　大志を抱け！”で有名なクラーク博士は、植物学の研究から、農学教育に興味を持ち、効率的な農学教育をするには　組織的教育が必要だと考え、当時の日本の教育と相まって　日本政府の強烈な要請をうけ　この北大の前身、札幌農学校を開校するにいたったみたいで　いわゆる日本政府に雇われた学校の先生。それでもキリスト教に熱心で　キリシタンをすすめたことでも有名らしい。

最近、このころのキリスト教がすごいですね。ちょうど　明治時代にキリスト教が解禁されてから、大正時代とかにかけて　キリスト教の布教がひどく盛んな気がしますが、アメリカの人はほとんどキリストじゃないですか？やっぱ、これからって感じで国が貧しかったから、神にすがる気持ちが結構　盛り上がってたのか　そういうことを　いわゆる発展途上の国には布教活動が効果的だとしっていて布教し　精神的に洗脳することで　自分の地位名声や事業的も効果があることを知ってて布教してたんだろうってことかも。戦略的なものが多分にあったような気がしますが、クラーク博士も同様では。

Also, Dr. Clark was a Christian, and he was also a Protestant, and that influence still exists in this university. Dr. Clark, who is famous for “Boys, be ambitious!”, became interested in agricultural education from his research in botany. Coupled with education, in response to a strong request from the Japanese government, it seems that Hokkaido University’s predecessor, Sapporo Agricultural College, was opened as a so-called school teacher hired by the Japanese government. Even so, he was enthusiastic about Christianity and is famous for recommending Christianity.

Recently, Christianity around here is amazing. Right after the ban on Christianity was lifted in the Meiji era, I feel that he was very active in propagating Christianity during the Taisho era, but most Americans are Christians, aren’t they? After all, the country was so poor that it felt like the future, so the feeling of relying on God was quite excited. So, maybe he was preaching because he knew his status and fame and his business benefits. I feel like there was a lot of strategic stuff, but Dr. Clark is the same.
