”六華苑”っていうメルヘンチックな建物を見に行った。桑名市っていう町はいいところです。

桑名市の”六華苑”

大阪から阪神高速を松原方面にいって西名阪をこえ東名阪に　四日市あたりを越して　そして”桑名市”ってところがありますが、この割と川沿いにある三重県の市に　この”六華苑”という建てものが建っている。これも割と川ぞいに・・・。近辺に行って駐車場に車を止めて　この館の前まで行く。もちろん観光地ですので　拝観料をはらって　中に入らせてもらうのだが、これがすごい。

和洋折衷の館

中は建物全体に”和洋折衷”か？この洋風の館と横に日本家屋がひっついている、っていうか中でつながっている。この日本家屋が非常にでかい。和室がどんだけ～っていうぐらいあります。もちろん、見ごたえもあります。いけてます。廊下をわたって、わたってずっと中に入っていく感じ。まずは、このメルヘンチックなブルーの館を満喫して　そのあと日本家屋を拝見。中の建物の要所要所に使われてるっていうか、細工されてる細かなものがよく出来てる。っていうか珍しいものが多い。古い日本家屋のいい所はここですね。今ではあまり見られないというか、そんなものの宝庫です。

”六華苑”とは。

この”六華苑”っていうのは、旧諸戸清六邸（東諸戸邸）の総称。国の重要文化財です。実業家二代目諸戸清六の新居として明治44年着工し、大正2年（1913年）に竣工した。諸戸家が、別邸としてこの桑名に生活の拠点を移したことから始まり、会社の事務所としても使われていたそうだが、戦後桑名市に寄贈し今は国の重要文化財として一般公開されている。当日もなにか着物関係の催しものの準備かなんかに　主婦の方々が集まっていたので　そういったものにも使われたりしているみたいだ。その他映画のロケ地とかにも使用されているみたいだ。また、この建物のすごいところは、鹿鳴館の設計で知られるイギリス人建築家ジョサイア・コンドルの設計で建てられた木造住宅ってことです。こんな田舎に鹿鳴館と同じようなものがあるってことで、これは諸戸家の初代が国の事業等に絡んで　三菱の岩崎弥太郎と親交があり、その関係で紹介してもらったってのが　すごい。

桑名はいい所です。

当日は、晴れててこの建物が晴れた空に映える。すごくきれいに写真が撮れます。また、近辺て言うか　割と田舎の川沿いで　この川も大きい。その川沿いから駐車場に入れるって感じで　こんな晴れた日にこの建物、この緑の多いロケーション　最高に良い一日ではないでしょうか。そんな感じでした。でも桑名市っていい所ですね。

This is also along the river… Go to the nearby parking lot and go to the front of this mansion. Of course, it’s a tourist spot, so you pay an admission fee to enter, but this is amazing.

Japanese-Western style house

Is the inside of the building a “mixture of Japanese and Western styles”? There is a Japanese house next to this Western-style building, or rather, it is connected inside. This Japanese house is very big. There are so many Japanese-style rooms. Of course, it is worth seeing. I’m doing it. The feeling of crossing the corridor and going inside all the way. First, he enjoyed this fairy-tale blue mansion, and then he saw a Japanese house. It’s used in the important points of the building inside, or it’s finely crafted. There are many rare things. The good thing about old Japanese houses is here. It’s a treasure trove of things that you don’t see much these days.

What is “Rokkaen”?

This “Rokukaen” is a general term for the former Seiroku Moroto residence (Higashi Moroto residence). It is a national important cultural property. Construction began in 1909 as the new residence of Seiroku Moroto, the second generation of a businessman, and was completed in 1913. The Moroto family moved their base of life to Kuwana as a villa, and it is said that it was also used as a company office. there is Housewives gathered on the day of the event to prepare for some kind of kimono-related event, so it seems that he is also used for such things. It has also been used as a location for other movies. Also, the amazing thing about this building is that it is a wooden house designed by British architect Josiah Conder, who is known for designing Rokumeikan. I heard that there is something similar to Rokumeikan in such a rural area, and the first generation of the Moroto family had a friendship with Mitsubishi’s Yataro Iwasaki in relation to national projects, etc., and he introduced me to it. but he’s amazing.

Kuwana is a nice place.

On that day, it was sunny and this building shines in the clear sky. You can take beautiful pictures. Also, it’s a relatively rural riverside, so this river is also big. I feel like I can enter the parking lot from the riverside. It was like that. But Kuwana city is a nice place.
