The Hokkaido government office is a beautiful building. It’s like a mint. The angle of the scenery outside from the entrance is good.
“Hokkaido Government” Go inside the gorgeous modern architecture.
I went to the “Hokkaido Government Office” in Sapporo. I want to see this building. Gorgeous beyond what I heard, is this modern architecture? I feel like that, but he has a big scale. Hokkaido Prefectural Government Office. I was able to go inside and take a tour, and he was not so full of tourists, but it was a weekday, so he was empty. Inside, it was almost like a museum, with various photos and reference documents from the development of Hokkaido lined up.
Speaking of the history of Hokkaido, is it from Goryokaku to Tondenhei?
The image of Hokkaido is that the survivors of the shogunate army fled to this Ezo area and tried to create an independent nation in this area, starting with Goryokaku. Until then, it seems that he was only in the Matsumae domain of the Edo shogunate, but he built Goryokaku and built a town to stand up to the new government forces. The new government army invaded and he occupied this land. After that, there is a feeling that Sapporo was the main center and this Ezochi was developed. Among the shogunate forces who escaped were Takeaki Enomoto and Toshizo Hijikata.
It is full of history of Tondenhei.
In the development of Ezo after that, I think the Tondenhei in the Meiji era is famous, isn’t it? Hokkaido has a place like the history of Tondenhei, and he felt that this Hokkaido government museum was full of materials about that story, but it might be good to learn about the history of Hokkaido again.
There is also a lot of history with the natives.
Especially in Hokkaido, I think there were indigenous people called “Ainu”, so that’s an interesting part of Japanese history.
In America, it is also a history of coexistence with natives like Indians. I think he’s a little proud that Japan’s history had coexistence with immigrants. It’s that kind of museum.
Modern architecture with arches.
The building, whether it’s the stairs, the interior lights, or the exterior, is the pinnacle of old Western architecture. Isn’t it great?
I want to live in a house like this.
