Koyasan this summer, be sure to take a walk here! Okunoin, Great Sacred Grounds, Konpon Daito, Shukubo Stay at Koyasan, full of highlights.
Koyasan, the place to go without fail is “Danjo Garan”.
■Mt. Koya, where you want to go for a drive! ! Since we are in Osaka, we will head from Kawachinagano to Wakayama and climb Mt. Koya. It’s a great long drive. I think it will take about 3 hours. Even so, it’s nice to have the feeling of going to the countryside. I used to live here for a while, so I feel really nostalgic. The road continues from Daimon to Kongobu-ji Temple. The place you must go is “Danjo Garan”.
Danjo Garan.
Unlike Okunoin, Daireijo, and Kongobu-ji Temple, there are not many people, so you can park your car on the road and go with a little more sense. Rather than relying. Is it a pine that you have vague memories of? There is a tree with one and three leaves, and he searches among the fallen leaves around the tree. I have a memory that seems to have memories of this.
Konpon Daito.
There is also a huge building like the picture below. He even has such a protuberance that he seems to be emitting radio waves from the top of the building. I’m sending something out into space. When I first saw it in the past, it felt like it was huge, but when it got bigger, it didn’t feel that way anymore… I think I heard that this area was Kukai’s playground. I’ve heard that Kukai is still in the building near this tower or in front of the three-leaf pine.
Temple lodgings are popular during the summer in Koyasan.
If you go through the streets full of temples, you will head towards Okunoin. In the summer, before the Obon festival, the staff will be full. Shukubo is also covered. Koyasan has many temples and many of his monks. There are many graves in the Okunoin, and there are many permanent memorial services. Also, I used to think that there were many events related to shrine visits and that most of the work was funeral-like, but recently he is a tourist rather than visiting a grave, so to speak, he is a hotel. “Also, I feel like the cost of accommodation is relatively high.” There are also a lot of guests who stay there. It’s not profitable. This is it. Koyasan is profitable. I really don’t know what’s ahead. But I recommend it.
