I went to Tottori “Gozoen Building”. Tottori is a city full of retro vibes. It is the prefectural capital.
Retro town Tottori city.
However, it feels like Tottori is a retro city. Even now, they sell safes, sell kimonos as discounts…
In this shopping district, he still remains this prefectural capital Tottori. It’s Jito Kaido, but he’s somehow retro-chic…
The main street in front of the station is wide and it feels like he’s still doing it, but he thinks this arcade shopping street is interesting and he wants to go around one house at a time.
Sengoku military commander Ikeda city clan
Tottori is a clan of descendants of the famous Tsuneoki Ikeda, a clan of great military commanders. Moreover, the Ikeda family totals 1,000,000 koku.
It’s a great asset, but he’s in Tottori, Okayama, Awaji Island, etc. I don’t know him, but he’s a foreigner, and it’s far from Tokyo. After all, it should be closer to Tokyo. Isn’t it stylish in the city?
were you blown away? But even though he is a very famous military commander in the Oda family, I wonder why he is.
However, since he is the lord of the domain, it is true that he is great compared to the general public, but he was appointed as the lord of the domain with a share of the Tokugawa’s war profits at Sekigahara, but this area is the source of his wealth that is still relevant today. There must be many places still rich with their wealth,
“Gozoen Building” seems to be a pharmacy.
This “Gozouen Building” is said to be the oldest reinforced concrete building in Tottori City.
It seems that it was built in 1931, influenced by the former prefectural library “Warabekan”, which also stands on this Jitokaido road.
The outer wall is a three-story tiled reinforced concrete building designated as an important cultural property, but it looks like a pharmacy…
But I like this modern building, and I like the arch. It must have been an epoch-making building in the early Showa era.
The shops around him, or rather the shops in the neighborhood, are still very old-fashioned. Are you leaving this on purpose? The houses around me are new, and I got the impression that the roof tiles were very clean.
What do you think, is it a town revitalization?
