I went to “Ryukoku University” in Kyoto! ! There are a lot of buildings with a taste that will surprise you.
Nishi Honganji school.
There are many Buddhist universities in Kyoto. I think Doshisha is a Christian school, but there are other places such as “Otani”, “Bukkyou University”, and “Ryukoku University”, which I went to this time. I guess you could call it a backup for Nishi Hongwanji, a school corporation of a large temple in Kyoto. The school building is amazing, beautiful, and cool. I knew of its existence, but I had never been there, so I felt that if it was such a splendid place, it would have been good for him to go to this school for the first time. It’s close to Kyoto Station, and it’s easy to get to Kawaramachi by bus, and since it’s Kyoto, it’s a perfect environment for studying. Somehow, when I was in high school, I wanted to go to university in Kyoto. Then I applied to university, but I didn’t get it. It’s too crazy… It’s the worst. When I go to Kyoto, I go to Pontocho almost every day for a drink. The hourly wage seems to be good in Gion.
Ryukoku is a comprehensive university
Ryukoku University was founded in 1639 as an educational institution for monks, and is said to be a splendid university with a long and distinguished history. What do you think about the wonderful philosophy that sticks to this great “fact”? Truth is difficult, especially in Buddhist studies, but there is no such thing as “Shakyamuni Buddha sitting on a lotus”, and there is no such thing as a “living Buddha”. It’s kind of suspicious. Recent emerging religions are generally too dubious because of his counseling business. Also, Ryukoku University is a “comprehensive university”. I envy him for this school building. Being able to enter and study in such a cool school building “It’s like a dream.” I want to go to school every day, but I also feel like I want to study inside this school forever. It is a wonderful school that arouses the desire to study.
The Omiya Campus is close to Kyoto Station.
This is Ryukoku’s Omiya Campus, and there are apparently two other campuses in other places, so yes, the university is a campus, not a school building. However, is it a very elegant and stylish building that has the image of a school, a Buddhist-style building that makes you feel like you’re in a foreign country? It’s a wonderful school building. I envy you. After all, it’s a stylish building that I wish I had made this school. Unlike a university like a building in a reinforced concrete city, it has an atmosphere. And it was just a short bus ride from Kyoto Station. Is it close enough to walk from JR Kyoto Station? Even just imagining riding a bicycle to this school and going to class every day makes me jealous. In the evening, when classes are over, I go out to downtown areas such as Kiyamachi or Pontocho for a part-time job or “drinking” almost every day. Campus life is like a dream. I want to go back to being a student again.
