I expected “Lake Biwa Terrace”, but… Restaurant Ropeway Slightly Kame! Terrace Little! After all, I prefer the view of Mt. Hiei from Lake Biwa.
Biwako Terrace is pretty easy to get to.
I always go to Lake Biwa for bass fishing, but I didn’t go to the terrace. I had high hopes for it, as it was advertised on TV and in magazines. I went by car, but the way to go was easy. For the time being, take the usual way to go to Lake Biwa to go to Biwako Ohashi, and get off at the interchange in the direction of Katata Kana-Biwako Ohashi on the lakeshore road from Kyoto East. Well… If you turn left without crossing the Biwako Ohashi Bridge and go towards Takashima County, you will see a sign. You can easily find it because it’s in the Yamate area next to the gas station. Also, it might be quicker to get off at Wani exit than Katata on the lakeshore road. It’s Wami. So, if you go up the side of the gas station, it’s quite a distance, but you can see the parking lot.
The scenery at the top of Lake Biwa Terrace.
Park your car in the parking lot, buy a ticket at the ticket office, and wait at the ropeway platform. About once every 15 minutes, it comes early, so it’s pretty easy to get on, and it goes straight up to the summit, Biwako Terrace. I’ll be there soon. When you reach the top, the direction to go is specified, so if you go straight, he will find a restaurant. The food is self-sold at the entrance of the restaurant, so I will buy it. This restaurant has a small menu and he also has a high price… In front of it is a terrace. There are places to sit, but I don’t think he will be able to sit because there are so many people and there is not enough space for him… Also, if you go a little further down the terrace, you’ll find a viewing platform.
It is the scenery and location of the historic Lake Biwa that moved around Nobunaga.
For the time being, it was cloudy on the day of the trip, so I had another one to look out over Lake Biwa. I wonder if Mt. Hiei can be seen from the Sagawa Art Museum on the other side of the river. During the morning haze, Mt. Hiei is reflected in Lake Biwa and the moon is still rising. This is his great location. The history of this area is amazing, Mitsuhide, Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, and Mt. Hiei. Great people fought and he dreamed great people. I was healed by seeing this beautiful location of Lake Biwa every time I fought. The scenery really deserves it.
